Hazara University, May 11, 2026 – Prof. Dr. Sar Zameen Khan, Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University, paid an official visit to Hazara University, where he participated in an interactive session with the Board of Directors and management of Hazara Universal Solutions Private Limited – the university's dedicated commercial enterprise.

The meeting was held on Monday, May 11, 2026, and was attended by senior management and board members of the company.

During the session, Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Vice Chancellor of Hazara University and CEO of Hazara Universal Solutions, presented an overview of the strategic initiatives undertaken by the university to generate alternative sources of revenue. He highlighted the establishment and functioning of Hazara Universal Solutions as one of the university's flagship projects aimed at financial sustainability and institutional self-reliance.

"We are committed to transforming Hazara University into a model of entrepreneurial academia. Hazara Universal Solutions represents our earnest effort to leverage institutional expertise for commercially viable ventures," said Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan.

Prof. Dr. Sar Zameen Khan expressed great appreciation for the university's forward-thinking approach. He acknowledged the importance of diversifying income streams and showed keen interest in the ongoing projects under the company's umbrella. He also shared valuable insights into products developed by his own university that possess strong market potential, suggesting room for future technology transfer and joint commercialization.

Both Vice Chancellors engaged in a productive dialogue on possible areas of collaboration and institutional partnership, including joint research, product development, and shared commercial ventures.

In a significant part of the interaction, the visiting Vice Chancellor inquired in detail about the legal formalities required for registering a university-led company. Responding to this, on the direction of CEO Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, the Company Secretary, Dr. Muhammad Waseem, delivered a comprehensive briefing on the incorporation process and the legal requirements mandated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

The session concluded with a mutual understanding to explore a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities, focusing on academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint commercial initiatives.
