About Department
Education
The Department of Education (DE) was among the first four departments founded with the establishment of the university in 2002. The Department is currently among the top departments with regard to faculty, students and programs. It falls under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Initially two programs B.A. (Hons) Education, B.Ed. one-year and M.Ed were started. The other programs i.e., B.S (Education), M.Phil. and PhD. were commenced gearing to meet the needs of rapidly changing societal requirements. The Department educates students for the new century characterized by rapid and constant change, the unpredictability of human affairs and the transformation of the work place. It aims to equip students with modern knowledge along with professional Education and Islamic values to play an active role in imparting quality Education.
Vision
The Department of Education is providing
pre-service and in-service teacher Education to cater the needs of elementary,
secondary and higher Education by: for all segments of society for the
improvement of Education in the region through research and generating new knowledge; providing
scholarship and grant activities that connect theory to practice; and
contributing to effective policy, curriculum and pedagogy.
Mission
The Department of Education aims to prepare professional
teachers with higher and nobler ideas of Islam and socialize them into well-rounded
persons ever ready to serve their nation.

Pursuant to the directives of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an Online Khuli Kachehri (open court) session was held at the Conference Room of the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Hazara University. During the session, student queries and issues were discussed, with on-spot directives issued to concerned officials for priority resolution.
Vice Chancellor Agriculture University Applauds Hazara Universal Solutions as a Model for University-Led Enterprise
Prof. Dr. Sar Zameen Khan, Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University, visited Hazara University and held an interactive session with the Board of Directors and management of Hazara Universal Solutions Private Limited. The visiting Vice Chancellor appreciated the university's initiatives for alternative revenue generation, expressed interest in collaboration, and received a detailed briefing on company registration formalities from the Company Secretary.
