About Department
Law
The Department of Law at Hazara University, Mansehra, was established in 2004 at the Garden Campus. Initially, the department offered the LLB (3-Year) program approved by the Pakistan Bar Council and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Over time, the program evolved into a comprehensive LLB (5-Year) degree spread over ten semesters, designed to attract BS-level students with strong academic potential and prepare them for excellence in the field of law.
In line with the HEC’s revised policy on legal education, the Department of Law is proud to announce the launch of its LLB (4-Year) Program starting in Fall 2025, marking a significant milestone in its academic journey. This new program reflects the department’s commitment to staying at the forefront of legal education and providing students with updated, high-quality programs aligned with national standards.
The Department of Law provides an enriching platform for both students and faculty, offering opportunities to grow through court visits, seminars, workshops, and conferences. It is supported by a team of highly qualified faculty members with national and international exposure and experience.
In compliance with the requirements of the Legal Education Rules, the Department has its own dedicated building and a well-resourced library separate from the University’s central library. This specialized library houses over 4,000 law books, including law reports, journals, reviews, and literature that represent diverse legal systems from around the world. The Department also boasts a state-of-the-art Model Classroom (Smart Classroom) and a fully equipped Moot Court, enabling students to enhance their practical skills and bridge the gap between theory and practice.
