Message from the Head of Department

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Agriculture, Hazara University, Mansehra. Our department is dedicated to advancing agricultural science through innovative teaching, cutting-edge research, and community engagement. We aim to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to address the growing challenges of food security, climate change, and sustainable crop production.

The department offers B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture with specializations in Plant Breeding & Genetics, Agronomy, and Horticulture, along with M.Sc. (Hons.) programs in these disciplines and a Ph.D. program in Plant Breeding & Genetics. With a team of highly qualified PhD faculty members, well-equipped laboratories, and an experimental research farm, we provide our students with a rich environment for both theoretical learning and practical experience.

Our programs are recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, reflecting our commitment to maintaining high academic standards and producing competent professionals who can contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s agricultural development and global food systems.
